Sustainability governance
Overall, Midsona's sustainability governance involves how the Group handles social and environmental issues, risks and opportunities, as well as the promotion of long-term sustainability and creating value for stakeholders. Based on this work, Midsona sets clear goals supported by dedicated leadership and attention to societal changes, such as regulatory changes, and with consideration for the expectations of the Group’s stakeholders.
Sustainability and profitability are interwoven in Midsona's operations, through a commitment to transparently integrate sustainability into the Group’s business practices. Midsona’s Board has a supervisory role when it comes to sustainable development, where the CEO has overall responsibility for sustainability matters and regularly reports the group’s status to the Board of Directors. The CSO is responsible for establishing the Group's sustainability framework and ensuring that it is aligned with global frameworks and our desire to be at the leading edge. The CEO together with the CSO ensures Group management are involved in target setting and committed to the sustainability agenda. Through regular updates in Group management the sustainability work is discussed in terms of strategy, targets, projects, activities and progress.
Through the Group management, the CSO shall also ensure good sustainability management so that the Group’s decisions are implemented in the divisions and part of our business practices. The Sustainability Group also has its own sustainability controller for sustainability data, who reports to both the CSO and CFO in order to link sustainability data more closely to financial data as well as employees with responsibility for the ensuring progress within the divisional work. The company uses various reporting platforms to develop and measure activities in line with established targets and specific key figures, and to conduct annual evaluations.
To support the work, Midsona’s management builds on a clear division of responsibilities in which all roles and their respective duties are detailed. In addition, clear KPIs and incentives are applied in the handling and implementation of target-related matters established in the day-to-day operations.
